no, like any other restaurant, it is against health code to allow pets.
Everything was good. Fries and hot dog.
It's in a cool part of town but to be honest, for the food I think it was very over priced. We just got 2 hot dogs and 2 fountain drinks and the total was somewhere around $16!! So I thought oh maybe these are giant hot dogs but they were not. Just standard size with some interesting ingredients on it. We left wishing we had gone somewhere else, unfortunately.
I have been vegan for one month now and the vegan dog and fries were by far the best food I have had all month. I was sad about the price until I tasted it. It's evident they have put a lot of time into making it so delicious so they deserve that money. Thanks Good Dog!
My friends and I spent some time at Coolidge Park last Saturday and by the time we were done we were hungry. Good Dog was a welcome site on the horizon. Jeff, behind the counter, was very helpful and exhibited excellent customer service. I had the pimento cheese dog and frites (German “French fries”). The selection of hotdogs is astounding and the taste combinations are sure to please even finicky palates. The eclectic atmosphere was a nice place to relax while enjoying good food and good service.
Fun. Funky. Frankly fantastic franks! Good dog takes your average hot dog and cranks it up to 11. Dozens of signature hot dog and brat creations and every one I’ve tried so far has been memorable. Also, their house-fried frites and frite combinations add the perfect pal to your handsome hotdog. (Their curry ketchup and wasabi ketchup are amazing!) Add to that the friendly staff, funky decor, and clever additions (like the frite cone holders built into the tables and the different S&P shakers) make a fun atmosphere to go with you good (awesome) dog. My family and I always make Good Dog a must visit when visiting Chattanooga.
The hot dogs and fries were tasty. Seating is limited since it's small, when I went I had to wait a bit. The decor is interesting, it had a dog theme to it.
Awesome hotdogs!$
Very friendly and quick service. Chicken sausage and hot dogs are phenomenal! The combinations seem odd at first but really come together and gives you a new experience of how to serve a hot dog. Everything including their buns are from local sources.
My favorite place to just sit and relax in. They have the best fries and many vegetarian options.
One of my all time favorite food spots in Chatt. Excellent tasting food, and all buns and ingredients are locally sourced. All condiments made in house to boot, and service is always amazing!
This is another place that we always take time to visit. They don’t just buy cheap hotdogs and throw them on the grill, theirs are quality hotdogs that are cooked to order. The variety is amazing but I’m a plain guy. Just give me the Cleveland Dog with BQQ sauce on one and Russian on the other. They also have a large amount of sauces for your fries. I’m not a big honey mustard person but the honey mustard they have for your fries is so good!! Makes sure to stop in.
I had the vegan sausage dog for the first time loaded up with chili (also vegan) and more. It was absolutely delicious, and I cannot wait to come back! Thanks for catering to vegans!
Best vegetarian hot dog ever, if you're vegetarian or vegan, check this place out. Prices are good too. Parking is tricky though.
This place was amazing! The strangest combinations, but very delicious. They have 100% beef dogs and locally made buns. By far the best hot dog I’ve had.
I loooove the vegan sausage, and the dogfather is my favorite vegetarian dog (has cream cheese). It takes awhile to get your food after ordering but is worth it. Try the frite sauce and curry ketchup with your fries.
The hot dogs are little skinny ones and nothing special about them. It was edible and the atmosphere was cool but I expected more from a place that specializes in hot dogs.
Always a great place for a family meal or snack. All the food is made in-house and it makes a huge difference. Dog friendly if you don't mind taking your food outside. There are seats in front on the sidewalk and in the back at
Great restaurant with awesome service! Chicago dog and loaded fries were awesome! Thanks for being allergen friendly!
Every time we visit Chattanooga, we make it a point to always visit Good Dog. They make all of their own sausages and have so many different ones to choose from that you will never be bored. I've enjoyed the German Sauer-Hund and the vegetarian dog. Both being excellent choices. Their fries(frites) are also excellent. They now have various versions of topped fries that sound excellent, but we haven't had the opportunity to enjoy those yet. The place can get really busy during lunch time, so either and early or late lunch would be advised.
It's a cute little place with a variety of selection of hot dogs and sausages. I've heard nothing but raves of this place so I was excited to try it for the first time. Service was good, the food.. not so much. The hot dog unfortunately tasted as if I had marched into a grocery store and bought a cheap pack of hotdogs and heated it up in the microwave. For the price of the food, it just really isn't worth it.
Good options and atmosphere
I quite enjoyed eating in the Good Dog. It's in a cool area of town, they have good variety and the vegan dog I chose was tasty. My wife and I noticed that the bun was quite unusual for a hot dog. Quote dough like but not unpleasant. The decor inside is INSANE! I would recommend.
Great place to grab a good meal , great ambiance and friendly staff
Neat experience!!! The Good dog is the place to grab a hot dog or two. If you can imagine, they will put it together. With Veggie choices!!!
The dogs were amazing. Super friendly staff, so helpful for our first visit. The menu had tons of choices and something for everyone. Quick service and a clean, laid back setting. A must if visiting Chattanooga!
Casual environment. The service was professional and still everyone had character. Fun to people watch. This place is popular or as my daughter said, "Good, the line isn't too long." upon our arrival. I spent much of my time in line reviewing the menu and finding more and more plates that interested me. (multiple visits will be required to complete my short list much less the complete menu)
Wasn't sure what to expect but there vegan dogs were amazing. You had a choice of a hot dog style or Brät style vegan dog with a plethora of toppings to choose from. I traveled 2 hours to try them and definitely was the highlight of my trip. Highly recommend as it's totally Vegan friendly and munchies friendly.
Very good hot dogs. A bit pricey for our family of 4 but the experience and the hot dogs did not disappoint.
Super good hot dogs! We got the Southern Slaw Dog and the Dogfather—both we’re probably the best hot dogs either of us have had. Reasonably priced too and in a great location!
Brats made in house. Yum! The dog father was my favorite. The curry ketchup was awesome on the fries. I also really liked the Chicago!
We have been here 2 times. Once 6 years ago and then again today. The food is fantastic. This visit during Covid19 had us participating in pick up which was efficient and safe.
Love love love this place! Two Cleveland Dogs and a chili cheese dog named "Fred".
I liked the decor. Great food. Affordable prices.
The sausage was decent, slightly bland. Also seemed slightly overpriced for what you got. the atmosphere of the restaurant is fun and relaxed. the staff was very friendly. I would go back to try the hot dogs instead.
Excited to find a hot dog place with gluten free buns. Ordered the Dogfather, and for whatever reason, the cashier changed it from an italian sausage to a regular beef hot dog. I assumed the sausage must not be gluten free as I did not ask for this substitution. Afterward, I asked about it and found out that "it was a miscommunication". Unfortunately since I was traveling, I won't have an opportunity to try again, so I can only give three starts because I did not get what I ordered. The gluten free bun was very good, as were the fries. The beef hot dog and toppings were fine, but I was still disappointed. Staff did not apologize, just shrugged and said I was served what the cashier entered.
Great atmosphere and even better dogs... All homemade add on's and everything was amazing. Chicago style was great!
Pretty good food. I got the Fajita Dog. It was different yet tasty. The jalapeños were definitely fresh as they cleared my sinuses. The staff wasn’t very engaging. The girl who brought our food was nice and helpful. Several choices of types/styles of dogs but kinda on the pricey side. Good food but not for the price.
Love this place. Try the Chicago dog and fries! Yum. Friendly staff.
Best Chicago dog I have had outside of Chicago. The gravy fries are the bomb! Great service great food, will be back.
Emmy Lou is the best. 💙 She was kind to me and welcomed me to come in on my birthday for a free dessert. It has revived my faith in Good Dog's customer service. :)
Good food. On Wednesday kids dog is free with adult purchase.
I loved this place! As a vegetarian it's hard to find places that serve veggie dogs, especially fully loaded ones like here. It was fantastic trash food..like so bad for you but so good. Had vegan options as well which was awesome to see. Would definitely go back again and again!
Order at the counter and then find a table type restaurant. Simple menu with plenty of options. We really liked the fries. I wish they had a combo... The per item style of ordering is annoying but oh well.Service was friendly and our food came out quickly.
Really enjoyed this place! I'm vegetarian and it's really almost unheard of to be able to buy veggie hotdogs at a restaurant. The one other time I did was not on this continent. What a treat! You can get any of the menu options with a veggie dig substitute, and they also have options with specially made veggie dogs. Sort of like a black bean burger in a hotdog form. Very tasty.
The harshest thing I can say is the decor went past funky into just odd. As to the surprises, they had curry? and wasabi (I assume horseradish) ketchup. I'm not sure I want horseradish ketchup but the nailed the flavor. I didnt care for the "dog dust", the mixture comes out unevenly so I'd have a bite with black pepper and the next would be overpowering oregano. Regarding the chillie on the dog, it wasnt bad but it isn't typical. All in all, I'll go back so I rate it more odd than anything.
Great service. The fries were good , hand cut. The curry ketchup was great.
Absolutely love this place. Great food and service in a cozy and quaint atmosphere. The food was fresh and made to order. The hotdogs are of good quality. Anyone looking for a hotdog should look no further. Will definitely be coming back again...and again.
Gluten free hotdogs! That should be all I have to say for some of you. However, I will go on to add that the dogs and frites are delicious, and swiftly prepared, the staff is friendly, and the atmosphere is kitschy. All things that point to a good meal and a good time.
Great place creative hot digs awesome curry ketchup and fries great location fun and clean
Really friendly girl at the counter; dogs and fries were good and quickly delivered at lunch time on a Tuesday. Prices are a little high, but as expected in that part of Chattanooga. Decor was fun for the kids to take in. A good place to visit while on fall break.
